“My wife and I stayed when on our honeymoon. We enjoyed the peace and quiet and beautiful cabins. They were far more than anticipated and well worth the stay at a great price. Already planning next year’s vacation with family to enjoy the cabins.” – Lucas
“What a beautiful place to stay! Comfortable beds, great atmosphere, and friendly people. We live in the Southern Black Hills and Campfire Cabins is a great weekend getaway! Thank you Sarah and Albert!” – Juliann
“We had an incredible stay for 2 nights over the 4th of July holiday! Al and Sarah are very welcoming and the cabins were above my expectations. Very well built, clean, and decorated so wonderfully. They thought of just about everything…we truly wanted for nothing in our cabin! We were comfortable and felt at home with another family/friends who joined us in the next cabin. We enjoyed the 4th on Pactola Reservoir on a rented pontoon. It was so nice to come “home”, which is very close by, to have a home-cooked meal, shower, and relax the rest of the evening. I will definitely be recommending Campfire Cabins to everyone I can. We will be back!” – Cheyenne
“Wonderful cabins, very accommodating in every way. I would recommend these cabins to anyone. Great people. Where else can you get a campfire with free firewood and many snacks in your cabins with farm fresh eggs? We will be back! Thanks Sarah and Al; also enjoyed your son.” – Barb
Campfire Cabins is proudly owned by Al and Sarah Sutton. We grew up in the Black Hills. We were high school sweethearts and married after high school. We then moved to Rapid City for work. 25 years and 6 kids later we had the opportunity to purchase land and move back to the Black Hills. We soon realized how much we had missed the beauty and serenity of the local area.
We decided to turn our property into an organic home hobby farm/ranch with multiple gardens, chickens & ducks, goats, and the occasional cow or eight. We also decided to build cabins near our home to share our new found love with others wanting to experience all the Black Hills have to offer. With two children still at home we now own and operate the cabins as a home family business. We look forward to getting to know you and be an added blessing to your Black Hills experience.
Rapid City is seen as the gateway to Mount Rushmore, but there’s more to it than that. Enjoy the shops downtown or visit wild critters at Reptile Gardens and Bear Country. There’s a variety of things for the whole family to do! Only 23 miles away from Campfire Cabins.
