About Us

Campfire Cabins is proudly owned by Al and Sarah Sutton.  We grew up in the Black Hills. We were high school sweethearts and married after high school. We then moved to Rapid City for work. 25 years and 6 kids later we had the opportunity to purchase land and move back to the Black Hills. We soon realized how much we had missed the beauty and serenity of the local area.

We were excited to turn half of our property into an organic hobby farm complete with a greenhouse, honeybees, chickens & ducks, turkeys, miniature goats, and a handful of beef cows.

We then set out to build cabins on the other half of our property, wanting to share all the Black Hills has to offer with other families!  We just knew we could provide so many fun memories for families like ours out here in such a central location to all the best stuff.

With two children still at home we operate the cabins as a small family business. We look forward to getting to know you and be an added blessing to your Black Hills experience!
